A little sample of what Cody and Luke wrote about me in school for Mother's Day.

Luke

Mom you are prettier than gold.

Mom you are the best because when I am hurt or sad you always fix me.

I know it makes you mad whenever I keep playing video games and you've asked me to stop, so I'll try hard to listen.

You're the best cook because you make me honey chicken with bacon to eat even though I know your favorite thing to eat is home-made pizza.

Mom you're the best and I wouldn't trade you for anything, no even a video game.

You're so funny! You make me laugh whenever you tickle me.

The nicest thing my mom ever did to me was...so much I can't even put them on this paper.

I think my mom and I are alike in the ways...brown hair, really tall

When I grow up, I want to be like my mom because...I would love having kids.

My mom is very smart. She knows all about...A lot of stuff.

Whenever we're together, this is what I like to do best...try to teach her to play Halo (video game) she says no, but I'm use to it.

She spends most of her time doing these things....doing pictures.

I think she likes to spend her time...with the family.

I know my mom loves me because...she just does.

Today I had a special surprise at Ryan's preschool.

There was a short little program to honor all the mom's.

First they each told one thing that they loved about their mother, to which Ryan replied

"I really like to eat cotton candy because it's good and it has white and pink."

What? That's the best he could come up with.

Next they sang us a song, (to the tune of Where is Thumbkin)

Lastly each kid gave their mom a present that they had made.

A plate with their hand print on it and a card with a poem and their picture.

Can't get any better than that.

I hope these kids will be life long friends.

They already have so many memories together.

I remember a fun day out in the hot sun, riding 4 wheelers, the dogs running, kids playing and laughing with friends.

This picture just makes me laugh because usually the girls are so unsure of Heath and don't know what to think of him and here Ash is snuggled into him.

Today has been good.
I've gotten a lot of things done.
Luke & Ryan played together all day while Cody was at school.

For over 2 hours they played Legos, making good guys and bad guys.

They worked hard and had fun.

It's amazing that with all of those Legos there can still be fights over a single piece.

They even had a picnic lunch in the bedroom so they didn't have to stop playing.

Brooke had her Senior Prom last night and

lucky us we all got to help her get ready for her special night.

Do you remember your Senior Prom?

It was 16 years ago for me and I wore a long black dress with lace sleeves, made by my mom.

Brooke looked absolutely beautiful, Ryan said, "like a princess".

Hope it was a fairytale night for you girl...

Every Day In May

Well I thought that I would join the others and blog

Every Day in May...

Since I might not always have something blog worthy to talk about each day, I thought that I would at least share a picture (past or present) but all taken in the month of MAY!

Now you will notice in my old pictures that it will always have the date marked on them. I thought this was a great feature back in the day until a wise friend told me differently, so until I learn how to photoshop them out they are here to stay.

These were taken shortly after we brought home our first family dog,

Miss Ruby May McMullen.

The boys were ages 5, 3 and 1 at the time and good thing we all fell in love with her because she destroyed everything.
