play ball

 Luke was so hesitant about playing baseball this year.

It was his first time playing machine pitch so that made him nervous

and the fact that he didn't know who would be on his team didn't help either,

but I'm happy to say that he LOVES it!

This was his first real game after two scrimmages the week before.

His first time at bat he struck out trying to hit with too heavy of a bat.

But the next time he was up...

See the ball in the trees?

He smacks it!

See the ball in front of him?

and he's off

arriving safely at first.

Yep that's Heath playing first base coach!

Luke loves playing first base, mostly because that is where all the action is.

Luke catches the ball.....

and makes the play at first for an out! 

He does it again....

for the second out.

This was as much to his suprise as ours!  Go Luke!

It was so great to see Luke's smile and to see how proud he was of himself.

He had an awesome game, we can't wait to see what happens the rest of the season!
