party hardy

January always starts out with a bang with three family birthday's to celebrate!
For lunch we had authentic and traditional tacos,
Mexican rice, chips & salsa and all the fixings.
It was delicious!
The birthday crew
Since our pinata idea from last year didn't work out so well we thought
the kinect would be a hit and provide us with a few good laughs.
And it did!

We have no idea what game Matt is playing here.
Here is a run down of some of what we played (winners are in red).
Boxing: Melissa vs. Tucker
Boxing: Nicole vs. Hailey
Boxing: Grammy vs. Jim
Boxing: Grammy vs. Matt
Boxing: Grammy vs. Hailey
Beach Volleyball: Jim vs. Ryan
Table Tennis: Matt vs. Cody
Track & Field: Tucker vs. Heath
Track & Field (discus): Summer vs. Tucker
It's obvious that you don't want to mess with Grammy
when she puts on her gloves!

The kinect records you and takes pictures during the games.
Some of them turn out quite funny, like this one of Tucker.
ceiling fans + tall people = hazard

If you wonder why you didn't see my dad's name on the line-up for
any of the games played, this might be the reason.
While he was busy sleeping the party away he missed out on all the important
conversations being held in the kitchen.
Since my parents go to Hawaii on vacation every two years,
my mom agreed to give each of us our own all inclusive trip,
(of course we did offer to buy our own souvenirs)!
See dad...you snooze, you lose!
Happy Day!
